Block Vault is a single-player puzzle game. There is no account, no login and no social feature. This policy explains the data handled by the game and by the advertising and Google services used for monetisation, analytics, crash reporting and consent management.
Block Vault is developed and published by an independent developer, contactable at chiradeep.banerjee72@gmail.com. In data protection terms we act as the data controller for the limited information described below.
Block Vault is not directed to children. It is intended for a general adult audience and is not part of Google Play's Designed for Families programme. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country). If you believe a child has used the app and you wish to raise a concern, contact us at the address above.
Your progress is saved locally on your device using Android's standard preferences storage. It never leaves your phone except through Android's own backup feature, if you have that enabled in your Google account settings. This includes:
Uninstalling the app removes its on-device copy. If Android backup is enabled, Google may retain a backup and restore the progress when the app is reinstalled or moved to another device.
The game is free and funded by advertising. We use Google AdMob as our ad platform and Meta Audience Network as a bidding partner within AdMob mediation to display banner, interstitial and rewarded advertisements. To select, serve and measure those ads, Google and Meta may collect and process:
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Advertising ID (a resettable identifier) | Ad selection, frequency capping, fraud prevention and measurement |
| Approximate location derived from IP address | Serving region-appropriate ads and applying local privacy rules |
| Device and app information (model, OS version, app version, language) | Ad compatibility and reporting |
| Ad interaction events (impressions, clicks, rewarded video completions) | Revenue reporting and invalid traffic detection |
We do not ask for or receive your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files or precise GPS location. The app uses internet and network-state access for ads and Google services, vibration for gameplay feedback, the advertising ID permission for advertising, and may request notification permission on Android 13 or later for optional local reminders.
Google's handling of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and in the Google Privacy Policy. Meta's handling of data is described in the Meta Privacy Policy.
Release versions of Block Vault use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. Collection is disabled in debug builds. These services help us understand game performance, progression and stability. Depending on the event, Google may process:
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Gameplay and app interactions | Screen views, tutorial completion, level starts and results, scores, attempts, booster use, coin activity, endless-run results and ad performance |
| Device and app information | Device model and manufacturer, operating-system version, app version and general technical compatibility |
| Diagnostics and crash information | Stack traces, relevant app state, device metadata, installation identifiers and developer-provided diagnostic logs needed to investigate crashes |
| Pseudonymous identifiers | Distinguishing app installations and measuring usage without requiring an account |
We can view aggregated analytics and crash reports in Firebase. For more detail, see Firebase Privacy and Security.
If you enable reminders and grant notification permission, Block Vault schedules local notifications on your device for the daily reward and a return-to-game reminder. The app does not use a remote push-notification server or upload a push token. You can disable reminders in the game's Settings screen or disable notifications in Android settings.
Consent for personalised ads. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app shows a Google-certified consent message the first time you open it, using Google's User Messaging Platform. You choose there whether your data may be used for personalised advertising. You can revisit that choice at any time through Settings → Privacy options inside the game, where the option is required.
Advertising ID controls. On your device you can reset your advertising ID or delete it entirely via Settings → Privacy → Ads. Deleting it stops personalised advertising across all apps; you will still see ads, but non-personalised ones.
Removing local data. You can clear Block Vault's storage in Android settings or uninstall the app. Android or Google backups may remain subject to your device and Google account backup settings.
Game progress remains on your device until you clear app storage or uninstall the app, subject to Android backup. Advertising information is retained by Google and Meta under the retention settings and schedules applicable to AdMob and Meta Audience Network; analytics and crash information is retained by Google under the settings applicable to Firebase. We do not operate our own player-account database, but we can access aggregated reports and crash diagnostics supplied through these services.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing, or to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. Requests involving information processed by Google or Meta may also need to be handled through their respective privacy controls; we will help where we can. Write to chiradeep.banerjee72@gmail.com.
Google and Meta may process advertising data, and Google may process analytics and crash-reporting data, on servers in a number of countries including the United States. Those transfers are governed by each provider's safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
The game operates no user accounts or developer-hosted player database. Communications with Google and Meta services use encrypted connections. Access to service dashboards is restricted to authorised developer accounts.
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, note it in the app's release notes. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
